With PROXIMA, one can create widespread communities in which the action field is not only the Web but the union of virtual places present in the site (chat, blog, videoblog, etc.) with the physical places deployed on the territory (locals, pubs, commercial centres, etc.).

Through information sharing between the centre (the web server) and periphery (the PROXIMA nodules), the subscribed users of the community can continue to interact at a distance (and at zero cost) through the access points deployed in the locals.
