PROXIMA is a MEDITA's project.

MEDITA, a combination of the words MEDia and ITAlia, was founded in 1999 with the aim of promoting the professional use of Internet in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). MEDITA consists of experts from different working backgrounds, which has notably widened its client base and is able to face the challenges posed by Internet technologies and strategies with an approach that is both professional and creative.

MEDITA can efficiently operate in the market due to thorough technological scouting and continuous testing of new software. Its activities range from the creation of institutional sites and e-business projects to the integrated development of wirelessprojects interfacing with the corporate information system, creating the basis to move from simple Internet presence to more evolved forms of online communication. Specific company needs are always given top priority, as MEDITA sees itself more as a consultant with experience in network issues, happy to listen before speaking, rather than a simple general supplier offering standard services.

Over the last two years, MEDITA has gained remarkable know-how in two sectors in particular, which are now experiencing very interesting growth levels: mobile Internet and FLASH. The work performed for high-profile clients bears witness to the great technological skill and creativity, always in line MEDITA corporate budgets and the expected time-to-market. In developing Internet projects, MEDITA uses an expert mix of proprietary (Microsoft, Macromedia) and open source technologies (MySql, third party IIS components) in order to constantly guarantee total reliability under any operating condition. Server side programs (database data access and handling, access control, etc.) are developed with ASP.NET.

Vector animations are developed in FLASH MX. Thanks to the Flash Communication Server installed on its servers, MEDITA is able to connect server side, database, web services XML and directory services applications by integrating them with existing software and data and supplying users with real time information.
